Apple unveiled its much-anticipated iPad mini on Tuesday, a one-handed tablet that brings a huge amount of excitement to consumers and marketers alike.
Research by Velti shows that the click-through rate (CTR) on tablets is double that on smartphones. The ipad mini offers mobile advertisers a unique opportunity: the excellent CTR of the tablet combined with the reachability factor of the smartphone.
Its proportions make the iPad mini the perfect tablet for taking everywhere and, in turn, perfect for mobile ads to catch users with a relevant ad depending on their location. The device is as thin as a pencil, as light as a pad of paper and 7.9 inches on the diagonal.
